Sleepwalking: Getting one in the Hopper
Sleepwalking, co-produced by and co-starring Charlize Theron, is the only chick flick in recent memory that features a shovel murder.The film stars Nick Stahl as Theron's hapless brother who must take care of her daughter, AnnaSophia Robb, while Mom gets her life together elsewhere. Stahl has been "sleepwalking" through his life until the fortuitous dumping of Robb and, oh, patricide bring him back to his senses.
Stark cinematography by Juan-Ruiz Ancha and a very satisfying performance by Dennis Hopper make this white trash redemption fable a worthwhile rental.
